One of our clients are looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team due to growth.
The role
Due to their ever-increasing order book, they are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Executive to join their hugely successful team, on a full time, permanent basis. The individual must be a highly motivated and have a background and knowledge of chimneys, ducting & secondary steel. Links to renewable s/green energy/MOD/Nuclear sectors desirable.
Responsibility and duties
Carrying out steel take offs; measuring and qualifying material from engineers and architect's drawings / specifications.
Developing cost estimating in line with business systems and protocols.
Preparation of detailed quotations, pricing schedules and presentation documents for the tender bid.
Establishing Budgets for the Commercial, Procurement and Project Teams.
Reviewing and advising on Proposed Client Contract Documentation.
Assisting in preparation of Handover Documentation to the Commercial and Project Team.
Reporting to the Sales Director & liaising with staff and clients at all levels as the role requires.
Maintaining and improving the quality of estimating techniques and processes.
Skills Required
Must have a good understanding of technical drawings, construction methods and engineering principals within the metalwork or structural steel work industry
Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with clients, engineers and suppliers alike.
Excellent IT skills with sound knowledge of all MS Office programs essential. Specific training will be provided in bespoke software.
Base Salary £35-50k, but subject to experience, track record and market knowledge.
